Aujourd\u2019hui le littoral ligure qui s\u2019\u00e9tend d\u2019Andora \u00e0 Ventimiglia est plus connu sous le nom de \u00ab\u00a0Riviera dei Fiori\u00a0\u00bb, autrement dit la Riviera des fleurs. Les eaux qui se trouvent face \u00e0 cette Riviera italienne sont pourtant toujours peupl\u00e9es de baleines. On y trouve notamment le rorqual commun, la deuxi\u00e8me esp\u00e8ce plus grande au monde, le cachalot, le plus grand pr\u00e9dateur au monde, et cinq autres esp\u00e8ces de c\u00e9tac\u00e9s y sont \u00e9galement r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement observ\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chaque ann\u00e9e au mois de juin<\/strong>, l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tethys.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Institut Tethys,<\/a> en collaboration avec <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanremomarathon.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sanremo Marathon<\/a>, organisent <strong>SAN REMO SEMI MARATHON<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0 RUN FOR THE WHALES. Celle-ci aura lieu sur la \u00ab\u00a0plus belle piste cyclo-pi\u00e9tonne d\u2019Europe\u00a0\u00bb, qui longe la c\u00f4te sur 24 km. Une course comp\u00e9titive de <strong>10 km<\/strong> verra s\u2019affronter les coureurs provenant de France et d\u2019Italie entre Arma di Taggia et Sanremo, alors que les simples promeneurs amateurs (enfants, parents, grands-parents, chiens, \u2026) pourront s\u2019essayer \u00e0 une promenade d\u2019environ <strong>3 km<\/strong> allant du terrain d\u2019athl\u00e9tisme jusqu\u2019au centre ville de Sanremo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019occasion de ses trente ans, l\u2019Institut Tethys sera l\u2019organisateur principal de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement. En plus d\u2019avoir men\u00e9 des recherches sur les c\u00e9tac\u00e9s depuis plus d\u2019un quart de si\u00e8cle, il fut le premier \u00e0 proposer l\u2019\u00e9tablissement du Sanctuaire Pelagos aux gouvernements d\u2019Italie, de France et de la Principaut\u00e9 de Monaco.<\/p>\n<p>Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 d\u2019un patrimoine extraordinaire, qui reste pourtant m\u00e9connu. Le acque antistanti il Ponente ligure sono per\u00f2 ancora popolate dalle balene e per l\u2019esattezza dalla seconda specie pi\u00f9 grande al mondo, la balenottera comune, dal pi\u00f9 grande predatore mai esistito sulla Terra, il capodoglio, e da altre 5 specie di cetacei che vengono regolarmente avvistate.\r\n\r\n<strong>Sabato 18 giugno<\/strong>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tethys.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Istituto Tethys ONLUS<\/a>, con l'organizzazione tecnica di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanremomarathon.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sanremo Marathon<\/a>, organizzeranno la SANREMO HALF MARATHON - RUN FOR THE WHALES, una charity marathon che si svolger\u00e0 sulla pista ciclo-pedonale \"pi\u00f9 bella d\u2019Europa\u201d, che si estende parallela al mare per 24 km. Una <strong>mezza maratona<\/strong> certificata FIDAL vedr\u00e0 runners provenienti da tutto il mondo\u00a0correre da San Lorenzo al Mare\u00a0fino a Sanremo; una <strong>10 km<\/strong> non competitiva permetter\u00e0 agli aspiranti runners di iniziare con una distanza abbordabile; semplici appassionati, bambini con genitori, nonni e cani al seguito potranno cimentarsi in una camminata di circa <strong>3\u00a0km<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nA organizzare la manifestazione, in occasione del suo trentesimo anniversario, sara l\u2019Istituto Tethys ONLUS, che da oltre un quarto di secolo conduce ricerche sui cetacei del Mar Ligure ed \u00e8 stato il primo a proporre l\u2019istituzione del <strong>Santuario Pelagos<\/strong> ai governi di Italia, Francia e Principato di Monaco.\r\n\r\nSi tratta di un patrimonio straordinario, che per\u00f2 sono in pochi a conoscere. La stragrande maggioranza degli italiani, infatti, \u00e8 all\u2019oscuro dell\u2019esistenza sia del Santuario, sia dei cetacei che lo popolano.\r\n\r\nL'elevata concentrazione di balene e delfini e la loro presenza durante tutto l'anno rappresenta inoltre un'importante risorsa, che aumenterebbe notevolmente l'attrattivit\u00e0 del territorio e, attraverso una fruizione sostenibile, porterebbe
