After registration to the race, all athletes must forward the following documents via our online registration system:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>a scan of their valid Runcard license<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>a scan of a valid medical certificate for competitive light athletics on the ASL form.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Please visit the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.runcard.com\/english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Runcard website<\/a> to sign up for a Runcard licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Athletes not licensed in Italy<\/h3>\n<p>Italian\/foreign athletes who are not licensed in Italy can participate, limited to persons of 18 years and older, if they are in possession of the following prerequisites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>athletes with licenses of clubs affiliated with Overseas Federations of Light Athletics that are recognized by WA<\/strong>. Subsequently when registering athletes must send, via the online registration system, a scan of their valid WA license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>athletes in possession of a FIDAL Runcard<\/strong>\u00a0Subsequent to registration athletes must send, through the online system of registration:<\/li>\n<li><strong>a scan of their valid Runcard license<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>a scan of a medical certificate for competitive light athletics on a form approved by the Italian Federation.\u00a0<\/strong>The medical certificate for non-resident foreigners can be issued by their own country, but<strong>\u00a0t<\/strong>he following tests must be carried out in line with Italian regulations:\n<ul>\n<li>medical visit;<\/li>\n<li>complete urine test;<\/li>\n<li>electrocardiogram at rest and after activity;<\/li>\n<li>Spirograph;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.runcard.com\/english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">official Runcard website<\/a> to sign up for a sport licence.<\/li>\n<li>Please find the approved international medical certificate form at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.runcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/certificato_inglese.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">following link<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the day of the race pack collection it is obligatory to show an original copy of the medical certificate and to give a copy of it to the organization.<\/p>\n<h3>Participation for the purpose of tourism and sport for foreigners living abroad<\/h3>\n<p>According to the provisions of Art. 26 paragraph 4, 4.1 and 4.2 of the Rules for the Organisation of Events issued by FIDAL for the year 2026, the following may participate for the purposes of tourist-sporting foreign nationals resident outside of Italy may participate in the event if they are aged from 20 years of age (thousandth of age: 2006) onwards.<\/p>\n<p>These athletes will participate in a non-competitive event that does not fall under the aegis of the FIDAL, although taking place at the same time as the competitive event.<\/p>\n<p>These athletes will be identified with a different bib number and placed in an alphabetical order of arrival separate from the rankings of the competitive event and will not be eligible for prizes in in kind, in cash, vouchers, bonuses, engagements, reimbursement of expenses of any kind.<\/p>\n<p>In order to participate, these athletes must present a form signed and stamped by a doctor, certifying their fitness for participation in a non-competitive marathon on the basis of the health regulations in force in their country of citizenship.<\/p>\n<h3>Important notice (valid for all categories of participation):<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Athletes licensed by other Federations (e.g. Italian Triathlon Federation) or Promotional Sporting Organizations recognized by CONI can participate in respect of the rules set out for the RUNCARD-EPS \/ RUNCARD + medical certificate for Light Athletics<\/li>\n<li>Licensed athletes in possession of the Mountain &amp; It the case of payment via bank transfer, it will be considered the date when our bank gets the payment, not the date when the transfer is made.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>CLUB REGISTRATION<\/h3>\n<p>Registration for the race as a sports club provides a number of exclusive benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1 free entry for every 10 registrations for the same distance<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>blocked price until 31 May when the fees of the first 10 participants are confirmed and paid<\/li>\n<li>free replacement of 20% of the participants by 31 May<\/li>\n<li>secretariat-assisted management using a simple Excel form<\/li>\n<li>dedicated service for hotel, restaurant and tourist service reservations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Registration must be completed by 31 May to access the benefits reserved for clubs\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE<\/h3>\n<p>Registration is personal and may not be transferred to another athlete and cannot be reimbursed in case of a failure to participate for any reason.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>COLLECTION OF THE TECHNICAL BAG AND RACE PACK<\/h3>\n<p>The technical bag containing the the bib and the chip, as well as the race pack of the 21.097 km, can be collected at the logistic base of the organization in San Remo on the days indicated at the page <a href=\"https:\/\/runforthewhales.it\/en\/run\/race-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Race Program <\/a>as you show:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>the registration voucher that you can download from the registration system.<br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>your sport licence<\/li>\n<li>the original copy of your medical certificate (only those who hold a Runcard licence)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The collection can be done by proxy upon presentation of the confirmation letter with all the documents requested by the same.<\/p>\n<h3>TIME LIMIT\u00a021.097 KM<\/h3>\n<p>The time limit for finishing the race is fixed at 3 hours<\/p>\n<h3>RANKINGS AND AWARDS<\/h3>\n<p>Time measurement and classification processing is by Crono Imperia, and both are validated by the Technical Delegate Judiciary\/Court of Appeal. Any complaints must be presented in accordance with the regulations of FIDAL and the R.T.I.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The prize giving ceremony for the Run for the Whales will take place<br \/>at 9.00 pm at the athletic fields in San Remo<br \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Awards will go to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the first three male and female ranked absolute finishers<\/li>\n<li>the first three finishers in the Fidal categories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The winners of the top classification do not take part in the awards for the individual categories. There is no provision for cash prizes<\/p>\n<h3><strong>SERVICES FOR THE PARTECIPANTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>CLOTHING DEPOSIT SERVICE<\/h3>\n<p>Participants in the 21.097 km can deposit their clothing at the stand provided specifically by the organization in the Arrival area\u00a0or in the prearranged area at the Start, 45 minutes before the start of the race.<br \/>Bags can be collected in the Arrival area.<br \/>The organization accepts no responsibility for any loss of property.<\/p>\n<h3>AFFILIATED HOTELS<\/h3>\n<p>Affiliated hotels can be booked directly on the official website of the event, using the registration system.<\/p>\n<h3>PHOTOS OF THE PARTICIPANTS<\/h3>\n<p>A photography service will follow the race. Photos can be supplied free of charge through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/runforthewhales\/?fref=ts\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0page on the days following the event.<\/p>\n<h3>FINAL NOTES<\/h3>\n<p>The organization reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time in order to ensure better organization of the race, after having communicated them to and obtained approval from FIDAL. For anything not covered by these regulations, the technical statutary rules of FIDAL and of the G.G.G. are valid.<\/p>\n<p>Any changes to services, locations and times will be suitably communicated to the registered athletes or will be reported on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ www.runforthewhales.it\">website<\/a>. It the case of payment via bank transfer, it will be considered the date when our bank gets the payment, not the date when the transfer is made.<\/strong><\/span>\r\n\r\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Changes to the regulation, given the update of the Covid-19 situation:<\/span><\/strong>\r\nThere will be no sponges on the course\r\nIn the refreshment points along the route, only bottled water and single-portion wrapped products will be present.\r\nThe start must be carried out with the mask worn for the first 500 meters, there will be an indicated figure of the organization who will specify at the point provided the possibility of removing it.\r\nThe masks must be worn again upon arrival and for the refreshment points.\r\nFor those who have booked the shuttle service, they can only benefit from it if equipped with a mask and booking confirmation. Bus capacity is reduced.\r\nPasta party will not be held but each runner will be given a single refreshment bag.\r\nThere will be no possibility to take showers and to use any changing rooms\r\nThe finisher medal will be delivered together with the refreshment package.\r\nAt the start of each race, body temperature will be measured\r\n<h3>\u00a0FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE<\/h3>\r\nRegistration is personal and may not be transferred to another athlete and cannot be reimbursed in case of a failure to participate for any reason.\r\n<h3><\/h3>\r\n<h3>COLLECTION OF THE TECHNICAL BAG AND RACE PACK<\/h3>\r\nThe technical bag containing the the bib and the chip, as well as the race pack of the 21.097 km, can be collected at the logistic base of the organization in San Remo on the days indicated at the page <a href=\"https:\/\/runforthewhales.it\/en\/run\/race-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Race Program <\/a>as you show:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>the registration voucher that you can download from the registration system.\r\n<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>your sport licence<\/li>\r\n \t<li>the original copy of your medical certificate (only those who hold a Runcard licence)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe collection can be done by proxy upon presentation of the confirmation letter with all the documents requested by the same.\r\n<h3>TIME LIMIT\u00a021.097 KM<\/h3>\r\nThe time limit for finishing the race is fixed at 3 hours\r\n<h3>RANKINGS AND AWARDS<\/h3>\r\nTime measurement and classification processing is by Crono Imperia, and both are validated by the Technical Delegate Judiciary\/Court of Appeal. Any complaints must be presented in accordance with the regulations of FIDAL and the R.T.I.\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The prize giving ceremony for the Run for the Whales will take place on\r\n18 June 2021 at 9.00 pm at the athletic fields in San Remo\r\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\nAwards will go to:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>the first three male and female ranked absolute finishers<\/li>\r\n \t<li>the first three finishers in the Fidal categories.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe winners of the top classification do not take part in the awards for the individual categories. There is no provision for cash prizes\r\n<h3><strong>SERVICES FOR THE PARTECIPANTS<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<h3><\/h3>\r\n<h3>CLOTHING DEPOSIT SERVICE<\/h3>\r\nParticipants in the 21.097 km can deposit their clothing at the stand provided specifically by the organization in the Arrival area\u00a0or in the prearranged area at the Start, 45 minutes before the start of the race.\r\nBags can be collected in the Arrival area.\r\nThe organization accepts no responsibility for any loss of property.\r\n<h3>AFFILIATED HOTELS<\/h3>\r\nAffiliated hotels can be booked directly on the official website of the event, using the registration system.\r\n<h3>PHOTOS OF THE PARTICIPANTS<\/h3>\r\nA photography service will follow the race. Photos can be supplied free of charge through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/runforthewhales\/?fref=ts\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0page on the days following the event.\r\n<h3>FINAL NOTES<\/h3>\r\nThe organization reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time in order to ensure better organization of the race, after having communicated them to and obtained approval from FIDAL. For anything not covered by these regulations, the technical statutary rules of FIDAL and of the G.G.G. are valid.\r\n\r\nAny changes to services, locations and times will be suitably communicated to the registered athletes or will be reported on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ www.runforthewhales.it\">website<\/a>.
